2025-06: After spending some much-needed QT w/ extended family at the Jersey Shore, we finally returned to Jersey after about 6 years, and with both kids for the first time! It was about time we introduced them to our extended family, and to visit some old stomping grounds where mommy and daddy's courtship began:
A few things to remember for next PU visit:
If renting car: Park on Prospect or by PUP, Charlton St. no longer accessible.
TYM would probably prefer we NJ Transit in from Newark if flying.
WaWa is still the way to go for quick and easy snacking w/ diverse options.
Places we didn’t get to visit, and will return for: Thomas Sweets, Alchamist & Barrister, Dinky Bar & Kitchen, Genomics Cafe, Alexander beach volleyball court, Hoagie Haven, the Bent Spoon, and Lambertville.
A few things to remember for all Jersey Shore visits:
Always be wearing sunblock.
Breakfast/Brunch spot on the water: Fishin’ Pier Grille. Thanks Dana!
Go to Aqua Park when it opens - 1st come 1st serve. Thanks Dana!
Seafood carry-out: Avalong Seafood Produce Market. Thanks Dana!
Avalon beaches are private (need to pay for beach tags to access).
